AM Fire and Security have recently been awarded the contract to upgrade the security of 63 Fire stations across Kent, after an indepth tender process.
Putting forward a solution based on the SALTO access control system, Kent Fire and Rescue Service were delighted with the range of products the Brighton based security firm offered.
Within the first phase of the project, over 150 doors were protected and the advanced reporting within the SALTO software enabled the Maidstone control room to manage access across their stations.
Significantly, staff were able to remotely operate the doors in the event of a major incident, granting access in circumstances where other emergency services needed access into the premises or immediate vicinity.
In line with a planned strategy, a total of 63 Fire stations had upgrades to their security systems implemented. AM Fire and Security now maintain each of these contracts to deliver cost effective, reliable services, the whole year through.
