The IR LEDs offer coverage of up to 15m allowing high quality monochrome images. The white light LEDs are triggered up to 3m from the camera and light up to 10m, providing clear colour images.
This dual white/IR light illumination has a number of benefits. When switched on, it shows that an area is under surveillance, therefore proving an effective deterrent. It also provides useful lighting for authorised personnel moving through the area. If no further movement is detected, the camera will switch back to discrete, cost-effective IR lighting and monochrome images.
